No More Lap Baby

I never thought it would happen, but Avery is officially crawling. I guess she was just perfecting her moves before she showed them to the world. She started crawling last night, but she still doesn't like it very much. It takes some coercion. This isn't a great picture, but it's all I have for now.

Peek-A-Boo

Avery is just loving Peek-A-Boo.

Hawaiian Princesses

My parents just got back from Hawaii. They brought all the kids back hawaiian clothes. This is the girls in theirs.

Soccer is Over

I'm actually pretty glad that soccer is over for the year. I know Ethan loves it, but soccer 3 times a week with 3 kids in tow was crazy. I think Ethan was sad, but his cool trophy and pizza party made up for it.

And what is better than soccer ball cake?

This is Ethan's team picture. Go Tigers!

Fathers & Sons Campout

Last weekend Bryce took Ethan on our ward's Fathers and Sons Campout. Ethan had so much fun and was so excited to sleep in his new tent with his dad. This is Ethan's third year going and he always looks forward to it.

Avery's Third Haircut

Yes, it's true. Avery is already on her third haircut at 9 months old. Good thing she's a girl. I think Ethan had 6 his first year. My kids just have crazy hair. I was actually just trying to cut off all of Avery's dark baby hair, so it would all be one color. But, now she looks like Annie or something. She is just a big ball of curly hair.

This is also the first picture I've gotten of Avery with her new front teeth.

What Else?

What a week it's been. We've had landscapers here 2 times this week. First, to clean up the yard. Then to fix our sprinklers in the back that weren't working. Then we noticed that our carpet in the office was wet. We had a leak in there months ago that we thought was all fixed. But, when we lifted up our office chair mat it was wet underneath. Months later! Yuck. So we've got someone coming out tomorrow to fix that. Then, when we woke up this morning, Bryce found our kitchen flooding from under the sink! So we had a plumber come out who fixed the leak, but said we need a whole new RO filter. We hadn't really had to use much of our tax return this year, but I guess we will now. Oh well. I guess it's good that we had a little extra cash. It seems like there is never really extra, right? I guess our house just wanted some attention this week.

I Don't Get It

Caitlin really likes to play with the magnets on the refrigerator. She recently learned that they will also stick to the dishwasher. But, for the life of her, she could not figure out why nothing would stick to the pantry door. She tried for 15 minutes to stick up a picture she colored. It just didn't make sense. I love those little 2-year-old minds.

Happy Mother's Day

So, I wanted to take some pictures of my cute kids on Mother's Day. They owe me that much, right? Apparently no one told them it was Mother's Day and this is all I got.

Too Many Cooks...

Today I took the kids to the Arizona Youth Museum. It's one of their favorite things to do. Luckily, my great parents bought us a membership for Christmas. Right now they have an exhibit called "Table Manners". It's really fun. The kids got to design their own plates, and learn about dining in other cultures. I don't know if anyone learned anything about table manners, though. It was a free-for-all once they got to the room with the pretend kitchen and food. Kids and food everywhere.

Mommy in Training

Caitlin is such a little Mommy. She loves to take care of babies and help her Mom with things. She's getting in some good practice.

Avery is 9 months old

Avery is actually not 9 months until Wednesday, but we had her doctor's appointment today. She is 19 lbs. 13 oz. and 28 in. What a big girl! Those 9 months sure went a lot faster than the 9 months we were waiting for her. We love our little Avey Cakes.
