This year the girls' dance teacher arranged for her own float in the Queen Creek Holiday Parade. The girls were so excited to dress up as princesses and ride the float. It was crazy freezing, but I think they had a fun time. It was sure fun to have the rest of the family watch and wave from the street. They even won a prize for their float and made it into the newspaper!

Birthday Tea Party
This year was a friend birthday party for both Avery and Caitlin, so they decided to wait and have their party together. They decided on a princess tea party and we invited 25 of their closest friends.
It was so fun and not even as crazy as I imagined. We had a ton of beautiful little princesses dressed in their fanciest. The girls all had their nails painted.
Then they each got to pick their very own tea cup to take home.
They each got their picture taken with their new teacup.
And we enjoyed a nice tea party lunch of pink lemonade, heart and flower sandwiches, and sweets.
Extra thanks go out to my nail technician (my mom), the photographer (Bryce), and our waitress (mom again). What a great and exciting day for the birthday girls!

School Pictures 2012
I'm pretty sure this is the last year we will do school pictures. The only thing I want is the picture CD and they charge a ton for it. And I'm not sure they're trying very hard anymore. I mean, come on....
Those were apparently the best smiles to be gotten that day.
Now, I agree that my kids are beautiful and great, but I think my photographer standards are higher than they used to be. How did they make such cute kids look so awkward? I guess that's the real magic of school pictures.

Crazy Hair Day
It's Crazy Hair Day. Ethan did his own. He says he's two-faced. I think Caitlin's a who and Avery's Cyndi Lauper. Girls just wanna have fun, yo!

Mustache Monday
I'm not usually a big fan of school spirit week, but I can get behind Mustache Monday. Little effort, big reward. Avery chose to go with the paper variety this time.

Daddy Daughter Night
The girls love it when Daddy Daughter night comes around. And this year Noelle got to go, too. They were supposed to dress 50's, but I had no poodle skirts, so we made do. They sure are cute anyway. They were so excited to go!
A picture with their Daddy! They ran around and wore dad out and had tons of fun. What a great time!

Happy Birthday Avery!
Miss Avery Snoot is 5!! This has been a big week for her! Turning 5 and starting kindergarten! We are so proud of her and she is really growing up. She is turning into such a sweet and funny girl.
Avery made out like a bandit on her birthday. Lalaloopsies and Ponies and Barbies, Oh My! And she also got a scooter that she is super excited about. Now, if only it was cool enough to go outside!
Avery's lung capacity isn't very good. I'm thinking it's related to her asthma. So, it took a good ten tries to get these candles out, but she was persistent. I LOVE this great girl! She is so smart and fun! I'm really missing her while she's at school.
Happy Birthday Avery! We Love You!

Back to School
It's that time again!
I'm always happy...
and sad...
and excited...
and stressed out.
BACK TO SCHOOL!!
This year Ethan is in 3rd grade! Ack! Really?! Dang, I'm old. He has Mrs. Barber and a ton of friends in his class. It looks like he's going to have a fun year!
Caitlin's in 1st grade and has Mrs. McKeon. She is super excited to go back to school!
And little Miss Avery is our brand new Kindergartener! She is definitely ready to go to school with the big kids. She'll have so much fun. She was so happy to get Mrs. Marquez, who was Caitlin's teacher last year. They are already good friends. Her 5th birthday is the second day of school, so she'll have a fun week!
This morning they let the kindergarteners go straight to their classrooms. Here is Avery with her first ever school work.
Unfortunately they made the older kids wait in line outside. It was crazy hot, even at 9am. Gag. Poor kids!
Well, we're back to school and I only have two kids at home with me now. One is watching cartoons and one is asleep. I think I might be able to handle this...
But I sure miss those sweeties when they're gone.

Preschool Graduation
Avery is growing up and she is now a preschool graduate! On to kindergarten! We're still working on building up some excitement for kindergarten, but I'm sure she'll love it when the time comes.
Avery, with her fellow graduates! She had such a fun class and loved her friends from school.
It's official! A preschool diploma and everything. I'm excited to have no preschoolers for a couple years. Not so much back and forth during the day. But, good grief, now most of my kids will be in school!
Avery, with her teacher, Mrs. Vanderpool! We love her! And what extra special day would be complete without an extra special treat to celebrate? Ice cream cones and the McDonald's Playland! What a life!

Tumbling
Miss Avery just completed her first Tumbling class! She really loved it! She was pretty nervous about her recital, but she did a great job. She was so happy to have her grandparents at the recital too. What a grown up girl! Good job Avers!

Rapunzel
I just trimmed two inches off of Avery's hair. What did she think of it?
"It's SO short, Mommy!"
Sorry, Rapunzel.

First Day Part 2
This year Avery has a couple things going on. She is still qualifying for her speech articulation class once a week. She gets to ride a bus to the elementary school and have class there. She loves it and her teacher. She was lucky enough to get the same teacher as last year.
But, this year she is also doing a regular preschool class three days a week. It's run by a friend of my mom's, and it is right in our neighborhood. So that makes it nice for me. We are excited for her to meet some new little friends.
Avery, about to board the school bus. The older kids are so jealous that they don't get to ride the bus. This is her first year to ride by herself, last year Caitlin had the same class.
Bye-Bye Big Girl!

Happy Birthday Avery!

Our big girl is 4! Avery had a fun birthday this year. I'm so thankful for this sweet little thing. She is such a great kid and is growing up so fast. She starts preschool again this week and is so excited!

Avery with some of her loot. She got everything she wanted this year and was such a happy girl. She had been begging for that Care Bear for months, but they don't make them right now. Thank goodness for eBay.

Our poor little asthmatic! It took her quite a few tries to blow out this candle. And it was only one. What if we'd done four?

Public Speaker
Yesterday was a big day for Avery, too. She gave her first ever primary talk! I didn't get to see it, because I was teaching. So sad. But Bryce helped her and both my parents went to watch. She didn't have a microphone (I don't know where it was), but she did good. Her talk was called "I Love to See the Temple".
Great Job Avery!
P.S. Noelle did pretty good in nursery, too. Only a little sadness and sorrow and standing in the corner. Ha.

Vertuccio Farms
Caitlin and Avery had a fieldtrip with preschool and they went to Vertuccio Farms. They had so much to keep the kids busy, they didn't want to leave.
My girls will stay in a bouncy house for hours! Especially Caitlin. That is definitely her idea of fun.
But, while I was watching Caitlin jump and bounce, Avery ran off to see the train. She couldn't wait to go for a ride. The girls were so excited to be in the very first train car. I'm so glad they still like to be together.
They also had a fun mini corn maze. Just right for little girls.
But, the best (and longest) part was the girls picking out their very own pumpkin to bring home. It was very serious business.
Thank you Vertuccio Farms and Preschool!
