Carving Pumpkins

I didn't think we were going to make it with the jack-o-lanterns this year. Time was flying by and we had so much to do. So, last night we squeezed it before our ward's Trunk-or-Treat. Luckily Bryce took over, carving is not my forte.

The kids got to draw the faces on with marker and Bryce cut them out. They were so excited. Although, Caitlin seemed to be most excited about the taste of pumpkin.

Ethan already had his design drawn out on paper when Bryce got home. And Caitlin wanted one that was really scary.

What fun everyone had. I love these little faces (the kids, but the pumpkins are pretty cool, too).

Trick-or-Treating Ain't No Game

Alas, I have never been too into Halloween. It's just not my favorite. Way too much work for a bunch of cavities in my opinion. My husband, on the other hand, shines at this time of year. I think it may have something to do with actually being due on Halloween (he's a Nov. 2 birthday), but whatever the reason (his heart or his shoes) Bryce is very serious about Halloween. So, when he sent me this link I knew he sent it in all reverence.

So, for all of you that understand the sacredness of Halloween check out this link:

Halloween Party

We had such a great time at our Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday. Thanks to those that came. It was a lot of fun. The haunted house was so fun and scary. The kids really loved the bouncy house and filling up on candy and doughnuts.

And we got to see Bryce's band play. They did so good, and I think everyone enjoyed it. I wish I'd gotten better pictures, though. I had to snatch this one from Crystal (thanks).

Here is the link to the family pictures for those that came.

P.S. Thanks to Mike and Bethany for the great family pictures. Too bad my cubed husband took up half the picture. Haha.

Hair Products?

Hey, my sister had this up on her blog, so I thought I'd help her advertise.

If anyone wants or knows someone who would like hair products, take a look! We recently have closed our salon and have TONS of product left! These are just a few of the items. They would be great for Birthday or even X-mas gifts...or just for yourself!

Tag

I just got tagged by Laura to post the 4th picture in the 4th album in my pics folder. So, here it is:

Caitlin playing on the big slide at Aunt Frannie and Uncle Junior's house last summer.

P.S. Sorry to those of you that have tagged me in the past without response. I'm kind of a loser. Laura got lucky that I was in an accomodating mood.

Purse, anyone?

Is there anyone out there who is thinking about making a purchase at Coach anytime soon? I have a coupon for $50 off a $150 purchase that I am not going to use. Anyone can have it. Just let me know. It's only good 10/18-10/26, so start working on your husbands!

Bounce U

My nephew's birthday was last week, and on Saturday we went to his party at Bounce U. It was so wild and fun. The kids showed no fear on those big slides and ran around with seemingly endless energy. Here are some of the highlights.

How funny is this picture?

Yes, that is a tatoo on Caitlin's stomach. Lightning McQueen, Kachow!

Avery went on the slide once, then she needed some down time with the balls.

My Husband Can Fly, What Can Yours Do?

Here are some pictures of Bryce out flying around on his kite. They have been having fun with all this wind we've gotten lately.

By the way, if you didn't have enough incentive to come to our Halloween party, Bryce's band will be playing there! Come see. Check out this link:

Fresh From the Farm

On my friend, Laura's, advice we took the kids to the farm today. They have Moo Moo Palooza at the Superstition Farm today and tomorrow. It was a lot of fun, although it seemed a little disorganized. I guess anything can seem that way with 150 little kids running everywhere.

The kids got to play around on this cool tractor. Unfortunately for the kids waiting in line, this was one of Ethan and Caitlin's favorite things.

I'm not quite sure who these crazy cows were supposed to be, but Ethan sure liked them.

We got to go on a hay ride, meet a lot of animals, and enjoy their little haystack maze that was just right for the kids (every way led out).

Ethan could not figure out what would need a tire this big!

I think all the animals wore Avery out. She was so scared of every animal she saw. She screamed and screamed at every chicken and donkey and goat. So, I guess all the hysterics were enough to lull her into a deep sleep.

Caitlin refused to sit on anything or stand near any animal (real or otherwise), so we didn't get many pictures of her. Although, apparently, she was not adverse to climbing fences. Figures.

Thanks, Laura, for recommending such a fun activity!

Craft Queens

So, I don't know what got into my sister Jenna. She usually has a strong aversion to anything crafty, but over conference weekend she put together this great craft for us to do that was so fun. We weren't really sure where to start, but we made it work out. I think I redid the beginning of mine about 7 times while Jenna patiently waited for me.

I think we made my parents' house a wreck. Good thing they love us.

Jenna and I with our finished projects.

Mine finished on my front door.

We had so much fun and a lot of laughs. Thanks, Jenna for the fun idea. Next time we have to get all three of us together. Quit your working so hard, Sara! I am so glad to have my sweet sisters.
