Easter Sunday

What a great Easter we had this year. It was a long day, but so fun. I was up at 5:30 to get some stuff done, which was good, because the kids were all awake by 6:00. I made them all stay upstairs for a while, so that I could finish my stuff, then they all headed down to see what the bunny brought.

Sorry this picture is crazy looking, but the kids were happy with their baskets and are only asking for candy about every half hour today. While I was busy trying to get a picture, Noelle was off doing her own thing. Guess what it was:

You can't really tell, but Noelle has about 8 jelly beans in her mouth in this picture. Yep, it didn't take her long to find her candy.

We all went to Grandpa and Grandma Dopp's house for breakfast and an egg hunt. Yummy and fun and crazy. Lots of little kids having fun.

There were a ton of eggs, all hard boiled. Someone went to a lot of work to dye all of them. The kids were excited to find the ones that had their own name on them.

Once again, Noelle's favorite part was eating. She sure chewed up a good number of eggs. Her face and hands were covered with dye. Her dress just barely escaped disaster. After the hunt, we left and went to church. Ethan gave a talk about Jesus Christ as our Savior. Then we went over to Grandpa and Grandma Allred's house for dinner and another egg hunt.

We went home, and the kids were in bed by 7:00, I was in bed by 7:30. This pregnant lady can't handle so much fun in one day!

Easter Saturday

Today we started off our Easter festivities with our ward pancake breakfast and egg hunt. The kids couldn't wait to use their Easter baskets. Noelle wasn't quite sure what hers was for, but she loved it just the same.

After breakfast they had lots of fun for the kids. They played parachute bunny toss.

And had an egg relay. Luckily they used plastic eggs. Caitlin dropped hers about 12 times. She just wanted to run the whole way. Ethan was slow and steady.

Avery sat out the games. She just patiently waited for the real fun...the egg hunt.

The youth hid the eggs, some of them were pretty tricky. Who would have thought to check on Bishop's head?

Some of the kids did better than others at egg collecting, but it was a good trial run for tomorrow. Although, these kids definitely don't need any more candy. Some of it might end up in Mom's Easter basket.

After our ward party we headed over to our community's Spring Festival. The kids had a great time jumping on the bouncy houses and riding the train. They must have had too much fun, because now they are all home and cranky. Maybe we will be going to bed early tonight, so that we can be ready for all the fun tomorrow.

15 Months

Miss Noelle is 15 months old. She is becoming slightly more coordinated. I have no proof of this, except that we haven't had too many accidents lately. Besides when she got her finger slammed in the door yesterday....

We finally moved her up to forward facing. She's not yet 20 lbs, but she was just too long for the infant seat, and I am recovering it for baby boy. And sometimes I take a long time to sew things.

Unfortunately this happened about a week before they started the new carseat recommendations. Rear facing until two?! Oh man! I promise I'll drive carefully.

Noelle had a rough doctor's visit. Double ear infections, wheezing lungs, 3 shots, and not much growth. Her stats:

Weight: 18 lbs. 2 oz.
Height: 30.25 in.

So, they gave her a steroid shot in the office, a prescription for antibiotics, and directions to do breathing treatments at home. She has only grown 6 oz. and no inches since her birthday(3 months ago). I'm not sure what the deal is there, but we are hoping it is partly due to her not feeling well(she also got two new teeth in the last couple weeks). We go back to the doctor in two weeks. Wish us luck.

Good thing she's so cute, for all the trouble she gives us. She is feisty and fun and sweet. Love that girl!

Student of the Month

Congratulations to Ethan for being named Student of the Month! He is loving his new school and is doing so well. He has more homework now, but it's working out. I didn't realize that the more homework the kids have, the more homework I have. Ha.

Ethan got a certificate and a medal. So fun and exciting. Ethan is so smart and we are so glad to have such a great kid in our family!

9 Years

Our ninth anniversary was March 30th. We had kind of a lame celebration this year and still haven't gone out. Soon, right? But Bryce did buy and install something for me that I've wanted a while.

My Cookbook Shelves! Yay!

We bought these neat picture ledges at Ikea and hung them in the kitchen. I've been wanting to do this FOREVER! I already have plans for some more upstairs. I will post a picture when I do.

I would've shown you a wider shot of my kitchen with them hanging, but it's too messy. so this is what you get.

Thanks honey, I love you!
