Ethan's First Talk

Yesterday Ethan gave his very first talk in primary. He was so excited and was practicing all week. He gave his talk on sharing the gospel. He was glad to get to talk about Uncle Brittan, who just returned from his mission. Ethan did really well and talked into the microphone. What a good boy. We love how sweet and smart Ethan is.

Mountain Boarding

So, my husband seems to like flying through the air. He has recently taken up mountain boarding. You may have seen a mountain board in our Idaho pictures. It's basically a skateboard with big, tough, all-terrain wheels. So it can go on grass and sand and whatever. So, Bryce bought one and is having so much fun breaking it in. He built a ramp for it and has been using it almost every weekend. I don't have any really good pictures of it, but here is what I've got. Sorry about the blur.

Also, if you would like to buy a mountain board or check them out go to my brother-in-law's website: http://www.powerkiters.net

Bathtime

My kids love bathtime so much. Avery thinks it is so great to be in the water with the big kids. These pictures are from a few weeks ago, but I love how silly my kids are.

Elder Dopp is Home

Yesterday Bryce's little brother, Brittan, got home from the Japan Sendai Mission. We were all so excited to see him. I can't believe it has already been two years. Ethan still remembered him, but Caitlin didn't and Avery wasn't even born when he left. So, it was a lot of fun getting to know him again. I am so glad I have such good examples for my little kids. I know that Bryce's mission has truly benefited our whole family. We wish Brittan the best of luck readjusting to the outside world.

Water Baby

Yesterday Avery got into the fun at the Splash Pad. Usually she just watches, but I thought I'd let her try it. She actually liked it a lot and didn't seem to mind the water in her face. I finally went and picked her up when I saw her crawling around all blurry-eyed, looking lost.

Independence Day

For the 4th of July this year we took it pretty easy. We went and saw Wall-E in the morning. Then BBQ'd with family and hung out. No fireworks this year, but we had fun.

Awake, Arise, and Come Unto Christ

I was flipping through channels late last night. I really feel like I was inspired to stop on the BYU channel. They were airing a talk by Sheri Dew from women's conference this year. It is called "Awake, Arise, and Come Unto Christ." It is a great talk about the influence that we, as women and mothers, can have on the world. I urge anyone to read it. Here is the link:

I am so thankful to be a woman in our church and to have so many blessings and so much knowledge given to us.

Budding Artists

Here is Avery coloring her first picture. Usually she just tries to eat the crayons. She still did some of that, but we also have some new artwork to show for it.

Ethan got into the action, too, with a self portrait a la magna doodle.

By the way, that rectangle on his head is just his forehead.

Boy, That Was Hard Work.

Swimming lessons are over, so I thought I'd show how Caitlin spent most of the time during lessons.

Haha. Oh well. I'm sure she had fun.

Bits & Pieces

Avery is eating bits and pieces of things now. Which means she can feed herself most of the time. Hooray. Now Mom can eat dinner sometimes, too.

Guilty.

Don't you just hate it when people think their kids are the cutest in the world? Well, I guess that's me. But, seriously, how cute are kids in hats?

Sun, Water, and Cousins!

My kids had so much fun swimming at Grandma's house the other day. They love spending time with their cousins. We are so glad that we have two more cousins coming early next year.
