Long Weekend

We had a really crazy weekend. Well, mostly Bryce did. He did all the work. I think he needs an extra holiday day just for resting.

On Thursday we went to my brother's highschool graduation. And anyone who did that on Thursday knows it was wet. It was pouring rain and pretty wild. It was also packed. We could hardly find a seat.

Me and the kids huddled under the umbrella. Bryce spent most of the time finding a place to park, holding umbrellas, and taking pictures.

My dad, brother Danny, and my mom.

The next day was our ward's Father/Son campout. After work Bryce and Ethan drove up to Airplane Flat to camp...again in the rain. I think they still had fun, but it sounded like a wet time. I'm sure it was worth it for Ethan. It's one of his favorite events of the year. This is his 4th time going.

They made an early start (4am) to get the camp cleaned up and drive back down in time for Ethan's last soccer game at 8 am.

Caitlin kicking a goal. She kicked 4 this season. Pretty good for her first year.

On Saturday night we went with some friends to a No Doubt/Paramore concert at Cricket Pavillion. Yes, I know how old I am. We had a lot of fun with all the teenagers.

Bryce, Nikki, Spencer, Crystal, Jami, and Dallas.

Stayed out way too late, had 8 am church in the morning. Bleh.

Sorry this is the longest post ever(and I've got another new one underneath). I'll leave you with a picture of the kids from the cemetary this morning.

What do you mean, that's disrespectful? Don't worry, we only knocked over one headstone.

Brittan's Wedding

We have had a ton of stuff going on the past few weeks. Three graduations, a bridal shower, soccer games, camp outs, parties, and a wedding. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten a lot of pictures, so I haven't been posting about them. I just got a couple pictures of Brittan(Bryce's brother) and Asaka's wedding today, so I thought I'd post them. Sorry the picture I have of them is blurry.

This is us trying to get ready for a family picture. How crazy do we all look? And by all of us, I mostly mean Bryce.

And Bryce and I finally got a picture of just the two of us. That pretty much never happens. Thanks Mike, for working overtime.

Congratulations Brittan and Asaka!

Preschool Graduation

Ethan's preschool graduation was this morning. It's hard to believe that he is really going to be a kindergartner soon. He was so excited to get his hat and diploma. And I was excited to not have the girls with me. It's not often that Ethan and I get to spend time together without a lot of distractions. Thanks Lindsey!

The graduating class of 2009. All 12 of them. They loved those hats. Plus, it was a little windy, so some of them were holding on for dear life.

Patsy, Chad, Ethan, Kyler, and Bryce. Friends being silly.

Ethan with his teacher, Mrs. Lunt. We love her and are so glad Ethan had such a great teacher!

Soccer Pictures

I know it's been a while, but I'm still around. These are the kids' soccer pictures. They have one more game this Saturday and then the season is over. They both had a lot of fun and did great this year.

Easter

We had such a fun Easter this year. It was nice and relaxing. Just spending time with family and eating. We got to see my whole family for the first time in a while. And the kids got to go on an egg hunt at Bryce's parents' house. I love Valerie's yard. It makes for perfect Easter pictures every year.

My Husband, the Rock Star

So, last weekend I finally got to go see Bryce's band, Geek Empire, play. Thanks to a sweet girl in our ward who babysat at the absolute last minute. They played at Blackbird Arts and Music in Queen Creek. It was so fun and they did really great. They were definitely the most entertaining group that played. My husband is pretty awesome! Just so you know...

By the way, stay tuned for more exciting Geek Empire news coming soon!

Magic Carpet

Is it magic or did new carpet just take 10 years off the life of my house? I can't believe how long we went with our old carpet. It was original to the house, so 15 years old! And 5 of those years were "kid years" which we all know are worth at least 3 each. I think originally our carpet was white, but by the time it met it's end I would have to say it was gray splotchy. I think I remember seeing that in my Crayola pack. Anyway, it was a happy day for us all when it was all ripped out and we got a house facelift. It really makes our house look newer. Now I won't be embarassed when my visiting teachers come over. As long as they don't see the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, or backyard. Ha.

Bye-bye old carpet!

Not a great picture, but that's it. No spots or stains....yet. Did I mention not all of our children are potty trained yet? What were we thinking? At least we were smart enough to get the brown multi colored kind. That way you can't tell what's dirt and what's carpet.
