We took the kids up to Salt Lake to Temple Square. We took a tour of the Conference Center, went to the Visitors Centers, and saw the Tabernacle and the Temple. Avery was asleep in the stroller for this family picture.
One of the kids' favorite places to go in Provo is the Monte L. Bean Museum. It's free, so it's also Mom and Dad's favorite. Everyone loves looking at all the animals.

Then we drove up to Rexburg, ID where Bryce's family met us at Becky and Devin's apartment. Becky is Bryce's sister and her husband, Devin, is going to school at BYU-Idaho. We got the tour of Rexburg and got to visit with family. Isn't their new temple beautiful?
Then we all headed up to Devin's grandparents' ranch outside of Ririe, ID. It is such a great place to go to relax and have fun. They had a golf course, a zip line, a water slide, some really tall slides, and lots of room to explore. We even got to run over to Wyoming to get some fireworks.
The guys did some kite boarding. Which, I think , is basically trying to kill yourself by flying into the air attached to a kite. Luckily the wind they got didn't get them too high.
The biggest event of the trip was going over to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to go white water rafting down the snake river. The weather hadn't been as warm as we expected it to be in June. And it actually snowed that day while they were all going down the river. I hung out with the kids and shopped with Bryce's Aunt Ebra in Jackson Hole while they rafted.
Ethan and Avery both got sick on our trip, but other than that, everyone had a great time. Thank goodness for DVD players in cars. Thanks to Devin and Becky and their family and to Grandpa and Grandma Simons for such a good vacation. I had so much fun that I am now totally exhausted. We got back yesterday and are now playing catch up on all our work. Sorry for the long post. We did a lot.

Glad you guys are home safe and sound! I have missed seeing you at church. What a fantastic vacation - filled with so many great things!
That museum looks scary! I loved Ethan's pic with the animal and it's teeth - he was so happy!
I also wish so BADLY that our grass and yards could be as green as Utah and Idaho yards.
Now we can get together and let the kids wrestle again!
That was Natalie... in case you didn't recognize our bloggin profile.
How fun! Although I could kill you for coming up here and not letting me know! :) It sounds like you had a great time. The slides are awesome!
Jackson Hole is one of mine & Matt's favorite places to go. Your pictures brought back memories!
The funny thing is we took that exact same trip just 2 years ago!
Hopefully, you've recouped from your vacation. I think coming back and unpacking is the worst part.
Well next time you are up here you'll have to call and don't worry about it being last minute. Most of day is based on "last minuetes" it seems! :)

Hey Nikki~ It was so good to hear from you. I don't even remember the last time we saw one another. You have the cutest kids and that little Avery is darling. I hope my little girl has all that blonde hair too. I would love to keep in contact with you. I haven't stayed in touch with very many people from Provo. Feel free to email me mattandjenmangum@hotmail.com
