Splash Pad

As soon as it's hot my kids start begging for the splash pad. Since my kids aren't all strong swimmers(plus who wants to take 4 kids to the pool when you are 8 months pregnant anyway?) it's a good option for us. I'm hoping to take advantage of it a lot this summer. Here is our first trip, a few days ago.

This is what Noelle mostly did. Watched. And watched. Unless, of course, she was running for the playground or the lake. I don't know why she did not want to get wet in the spray of the splash pad, but desperately wanted to jump in the lake. Kids.

The other kids mostly wanted to wait by a certain spout and make sure they were the only ones who got any water.

Avery found a friend who tried to keep the water from coming out with her.

Mom's favorite game was to wait until the water stopped(it's on a timer) and the kids peered wonderingly into the spout, and then hit the button and spray them in the face. What? Moms don't get to have fun, too?

The kids playing on the teeter-totter and getting dry. It was nice to have the playground right next to the splash pad in case kids wanted to do different things. In case you were wondering, we snuck onto the splash pad at Power Ranch since it's just across the street from us now. Yes, we're sneaky.

Is that splash pad not open to the public?

I didn't know you had to sneak...we've been there before too. Looks like a fun day!
